A new endeavor

I forgot to mention that my fabulous husband got me a banjo for Christmas. I have mentioned to some of you that I would like someday to learn how to play it, and that someday turns out to be today. It's a beginner's banjo, which is great because I'm a beginner banjist. If that is not a word, it should be. I found some online lessons, but I have yet to take one (although I DID figure out how to tune her up, so she's tune-ly). My goal is to be able to accompany myself on all the songs I love the best. I'm excited to learn some chords that will get me through Piece of Dirt by They Might Be Giants. I will also take your requests, provided that I like them and want to sing along. And as long as it's not Sinatra. I don't want his thugs coming after me.
