Ah, Miami

Finally, a trip to Miami that Joe and I both enjoyed! We'd both been there together and separately, and we were not big fans. But my friend Mina got married there, our friends Svenja and Anna live there again, and Jim and Ximena too. The first night we stayed with Jim and Ximena in North Beach (literally just about a mile north of South Beach) which was fantastic. They live 2 blocks from the beach, and the weather was beach worthy. We went out to a great Thai dinner with some delightful people and the next day headed to Coconut Grove to settle into the beautiful Mayfair hotel. We had a Japanese soaking tub on our private balcony (but the water didn't heat). Svenja and Anna came from Fort Lauderdale and we had dinner at a great ceviche restaurant.
