I'd rather be...

Last night, I saw the strangest bumper sticker. We're all familiar with those that say things like "I'd rather be fishing!" or "I'd rather be kayaking!" but this one said "I'd rather be fighting global warming!" To me, this just didn't make sense. It's not as though fighting global warming is a fun weekend activity. The car it was on wasn't even a hybrid! I imagined the driver, a 20 something girl, out in the woods with a sword and shield, planting trees and stabbing guys in suits who want to drill for oil. Isn't fighting global warming something you can do all the time by the choices you make (like what kind of car you put silly stickers on)? Ah, DC. So political it doesn't even make sense. I'm not against fighting environmental problems, but I AM against stupid bumper stickers.
