A finished room!

Lest you think I'm a complete hack, I did finish one room, the living room! Here it is. Well, first a refresher of how it looked when we first moved in (and the first couple of months):



I struggled with color choices, since I couldn't remember what the paint we had in DC was, and Joe is emphatically opposed to really bright colors ("I don't want to live in PeeWee's Playhouse!"). So we settled on this peach-ish beige, which to me looks exactly like Silly Putty, but I'm okay with that, I guess. Our oversized furniture proved a challenge, but I think it's working. Any suggestions?







And yes, that IS America's Next Top Model on the TV...hehe.
